"Worst Week Of My Life" Jah Prayzah

Jah Prayzah’s intentions to pay his last respects to the late former aide, Crispen Nyemba, did not go well as he was attacked at the Glen Forest Memorial Park On Monday 31st Of October 2017. Nyemba died in a fatal car accident along Samora Machel Avenue in the early hours of Sunday 29th Of October 2017.Crispen Nyemba,42 years of age at the time of death and former head of security for Jah Prayzah was on his way home from Jamaican Tarrus Riley's show in Harare at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Jah Prayzah had been performing at the Harare International Conference Centre and the burly Chris had provided security for the artist as expected. After making sure that the star was safe, he headed home, it is reported, and it's not clear who he was travelling with in the car.

Jah Prayzah accompanied by his manager Keen Mushapaidze, had to flee for dear life across the Glen Forest Memorial Park, with the seemingly upset mourners in hot pursuit and some temporarily abandoning proceedings and cowering under cover amid a hail of  objects aimed at the lanky musician, who is seen in the video wearing what appears to be a grey outfit.

According to Keen Mushapaidze, they are not aware of any reason why they were attacked and have since reported the matter to the police. "“We had gone to pay our last respects when some mourners descended on us. We did not know that some mourners were aggrieved. We do not know whether it was because we did not contribute anything towards the funeral or it is because of how we severed ties with Crispen Nyemba,” He assumed.

According to eye witnesses accounts circulating on social media, some were aggrieved by his late appearance at the funeral saying "Anganobata Maoko nhasi munhu akafa Sunday?" (why come to pay last respects now when Chris passed away Sunday morning). Some are questioning his appearance at the cemetery not at home, for the funeral of a security personel he was working very close to,"why kuzobatira maoko kumakuva", read a comment on social media.

This was the third time in a space of less than a week were Jah Prayzah has been found at the mercy of agitated fans. The  Friday before the funeral, he was forced to abandon a show in Masvingo after fans threw missiles at him when he was about to perform at the Caravan Park. Show organisers were said to have been responsible for the mayhem after arriving with half the public address system very late less than an hour before Jah Prayzah was scheduled to perform

Revellers who had braved the chilly weather ran out of patience and started throwing missiles, forcing Jah Prayzah and his team to abandon the show. The following day, in the capital, Harare, Jah Prayzah’s band members were stoned by angry revellers as the contemporary crooner delayed coming to the stage after the band members had gone for more than half an hour doing a sound check. This is the "worst week of my life" he declared during an interview with a national Newspaper on wednesday 1st Of November 2017. As for the funeral incident Jah Prayzah, believes he was set up and the incident was a "planned attack"

Crispen Nyemba is survived by his wife who is expecting a baby and three children.
